The Ultimate Showcase is a series of elite level Ultimate games featuring some of the best players in the world.
The Goals:
1) To present the sport of Ultimate in a fan and media friendly environment with comfortable stands above quality fields.
2) To attract and introduce young players to the sport.*
3) To make Boston Metro the premier region for presenting Ultimate to fans.
The 2009 Events:
The Ultimate Showcase features the elite frisbee players from the Boston area. Every player has competed at US Nationals. Mens and mixed games start in early May at a tour of local high schools until the Championship at Dilboy Stadium on Sunday June 21st. See our schedule for the full list of game dates and locations. 2009 Family Festival Days:
On June 20, 2009, we are helping Life is Good with a free, day-long family-friendly festival on Boston Common to benefit Project Joy, a Boston-based non-profit whose mission is to use the healing power of play to transform children impacted by violence, poverty and loss into healthy players in the game of life. The USS will be running the frisbee accuracy toss contest.
The festival features fantastic live music from Grammy winners The Blind Boys of Alabama, rising national recording artist Brett Dennen, and family-favorite SteveSongs and a multi-Grammy winning headliner. As always, there will be heaps of classic backyard food and a colorful mix of good-time games and activities for all ages.
A tax-deductible donation to BUDA of $5 for USS regular season games and $10 for the USS Championships is requested to support the development of youth ultimate. Please click on the donation link to contribute.
